This beer is built from an English “2-row” barley variety called Maris Otter and
accented by such specially grains as a lightly toasted American “2-row.” It has many
characteristics of an Irish ale but the formula has been modified over the years.
This beer is malt-centered with a light, nutty flavor from toasted American 2-row
barley. Red, with an off-white head, medium-light body and a semi-dry finish. It
resembles such commercial beers include: Killian’s Red, Smithwick’s Irish Red, and
Boulevard Irish Red. ABV5.0%, IBU 24, SRM 23, FG 1.020. BJCP Style 9D.
